Craving

To think about it again this is my 7th times I have been fasting and going to celebrate Eid Fitri in UK. This tells me that time flies really fast without me noticed about it. This also means that I am going to reach my 7th years of me being in UK too. Wow. Seriously is it 7 years already?

I really miss fasting and celebrating Raya in Malaysia now. I miss all the gbazaar Ramadhanh that I always went during my stay in Malaysia and also the environment celebrating raya with all my families back home, especially my kampong at kemaman and rembau. All of sudden I always think about the moment that I used to have, breaking my fast at my auntiesf house, at kampong, invitation to break my fast at hotel, and the most think that I miss the most is breaking my fast will all of my family. Maybe this is what they called home sick I guess. Last time I didnft really feel all of these because both my parents were still in UK and it is easy for me to go back to see them whenever I want to. But thank God that there are still people over here that makes me feel like home with all the close relationship that all have. Thank you for all the food that i usually have every week! hehehe..Hanya Allah sahaja yang dapat membalas jasa baik mereka. Owh well, what to do right. I just have to be strong and continue the journey that I am having right now.

Anyway, Ifm craving for apam balik at the moment. Does anyone know how to do it? Hehehe. I used to have it everyweek whenever i went to weekly pasar.

Ramadhan Kareem and Selamat Berpuasa Semua

ramadanbykhaloodieszr7.jpg

I have been waiting for this time to come again after a year of waiting for it. Ramadhan is here and Im really happy about it. It is the month where all muslim in the world are looking forward to celebrate. So I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my friends and family  Selamat Berpuasa

While Im writing this post I still havent known when I will start my fasting day. Ill have to wait after Magrib to get the information from Glasgow Central mosque. I called amir just know and he said that people in Bradford will be fasting tomorrow (Monday) and same goes to other cities in Uk I guess.

Anyway, I found this one article about how to know the first day of Ramadhan. So I just thought of sharing it with you all. So hope that you all will make full use of the month.

RAMADHAN KAREEM everyone!!!

"Penentuan awal Ramadhan

Perbezaan tempat terbit anak bulan

Ulama berbeza pendapat tentang wujudnya perbezaan tempat terbit anak bulan.

Katanya : Bilakah kamu melihat anak bulan? Jawabku : Kami melihatnya pada malam Jumaat. Tanya beliau ; Kamu melihatnya? Jawabku ; Ya , dan orang ramai pun melihatnya dan mereka berpuasa. Muawiyah turut berpuasa.

Big congratulations from me to all my friends whose already graduated! Seriously, Im so happy for you for the achievement that you all had, which will be apart of my inspiration to keep on fighting until the day I will get my Degree! This also means that it is the end of your time being here in UK since you have finished what you came here for years ago, and hope that all the experiences gained over here will be shared to the next generations. It is so sad to think that you all are leaving, but that is the natural of life right? Mission successful! Just make sure that we all keep in touch no matter what ok. Days off in Cardiff

I really had great days off at Cardiff last week. I went there to see my friends who are going back for good this July so thought of hanging out with them for the last time before they depart to Malaysia sometimes next week. I was in Cardiff for five days from last Wednesday till Sunday. I travelled to Cardiff together with Nadia and Hedzril from Glasgow by train since they were going to Cardiff too. So at least I dont have to travel alone this time.

The train journey was about 6 hours including the transit at Crewe. I arrived at Cardiff around 5pm. I then made my way to Mandy Road since that is where I will be staying while Im in Cardiff. Normally I would stay at 19 Coburn Street but since they all have moved out from that house, I had to stay at Mandy. After settling down all my stuff, we all went for a dinner at Tenkaichi Sushi and Noodle Bar. The food was great and the chicken over there is Halal too! Cant remember what I had. The only thing that I can remember was having Salmon Teriyaki! And some kind of fried rice..owh it was so nice! After that we all went to 16 Coburn Street to hang around over there and we end up watching ghost movie. Since the movie finished around 3am something like that, we all end up sleeping there. So thats all for Wednesday night.

-owh so delicious!!-

I woke up at 7.30 on Thursday morning since I want to make my way from Coburn St to Mandy Road to continue my sleep. It was so crowded at Coburn so really sleep properly over there. After a quick nap, I went and walked around Cardiff City Centre. Seriously it looks so different for me. Lots of new shops around there and they also are constructing St Davids 2 where there are going to be more shops around. I had fish and chips for my lunch with Muks, Dido, Hedzril, and Nadia. Then I went straight to Talybont for tennis for 1 hour. After that, went to Bute Park with them all for a simple rugby touch with all fellow people in Cardiff that are still here. Rugby touch was really fun!! I really enjoy it.

-Federer to be? u judge ok-

-Playing rugby touch at Bute Park-

Then I went to Taufiqs house during night time since he invited us all to come to his house for celebrating Kak Shamims successful in her Master. Owh we played Cranium over there too. That game was awesome and Im going to get one for my self. It has everything from charades, humdinger, win lose or draw, acting like a superstar, and many more. It is a really fun game to play when there are lots of you hanging around together.

-Cranium!!!!-

Friday comes the most interesting part where I somehow decided to follow them to go for a camp. I dont know why I want to follow them because I know that I dont have any suitable clothes or equipment for camping, but it just triggered me off when I heard that there is waterfall at the camp site. Plus it was only 1 night camp so I still will make it for my flight back to Glasgow. We departed early on Friday morning since it took us about 4 hours to get there. If im not mistaken, the name of the place is Nantcol Waterfall, Llanbedr, North Wales. So I bet you can tell how the place looks like from the pictures right?.

-the water is 6m deep!!!! and im not kidding-

Then on Sunday, I just chilled with them all at Mandy, waiting for Wimbledon final to start, and watch the game before waiting for the time for me to go to the airport. So thats all the activities that I did during my 5 days stay in Cardiff. Time really flies so fast realising that it was already the time for me to go back to Glasgow. Now I really miss Cardiff. Seriously I feel so different hanging out with them. It is different than hanging out in Glasgow. Maybe because I used to stay there and it was also used to be my home and thats the reason why I missed it so much I guess. That must be the different when you are having your friends around you. The saddest thing is that, Cardiff is not going to be the same when I go there next time since most of them are going back to Malaysia for good. Im going to miss you all for sure!!

Should i get one?

Right now im thinking of getting a laptop but i dont know either i really need it or not. I already have a desktop but right now i really feel like wanna have one laptop on my own. I dont think I need it but it just that i want it hehe..

I think it would be nice if i have a laptop so that i can use it whenever im travelling, or maybe use it when im watching the tv. So funny right? My sis is in Malaysia right now so that's why i thought of asking her to get one for me since it is quite cheap to get a laptop over there compare buying it from here. The laptop that im looking right now is a Compaq presario B1200, a 12.1' Laptop! Very suitable to use when travelling and since i've already have a desktop, i dont need a big laptop. A small one will do.

So right now i have to make up my mind so that i can ask my sis to buy it before she comes back to UK. So what do you think about it? Should i get one? If u ask me, i'd say "YES I WANT IT!" hahahaha

Spare a thought for us..

Received an email from my friend who is in Malaysia. So just thought of sharing this with all the readers.

"Salam and greetings to all,

I'm hope you are all in the best of your health, enjoying the oh-so-
brisk British summer. But whilst you're savouring the first few rays
of the summer sun, I beg that you spare a thought for those of us in
Malaysia.

I'm sure you've heard of it, but the price of fuel here has increased
by 40%. We wait with bated breath for the domino effect to kick in;
when everything else under the Malaysian sun will see an increase.
Most of us expected the subsidy to be reduced in order to cope with
spiralling global oil prices, yet it is beyond our wildest
expectation that this subsidy of which we depend our livelihood upon
would be yanked from right underneath our feet in less than 8 hours
time.

Yes my fellow Malaysians, things are not all rosy here in our ibu
pertiwi. In fact, things look rather grim over here.

A fresh graduate, with an income of around RM2,000-RM2,500 will find
it difficult to survive in our cities. What more breadwinners with
earnings less than that? How in the world are we supposed to make do
with what we have? We have no minimum wage to fall back on. Many
foresee an increase in crime rates as a direct result of this
increase in the cost of living.

We have been told to change our lifesyle to adapt. Yet we look in
envy and dismay at the very people who told us to change as they
themselves do not practice what they preach; still living a lavish
lifestyle while we struggle to make ends meet.

But I will still urge you to come home. Even if logic dictates that
the British grass is way greener. Come home because you love your
country, even though you feel that sometimes, your country don't
really love you all that much.

No, my dear perantau, come home and make this country better. Come
home bring change. More than ever, your tanah tumpahnya darahku needs
you.

For now, spare a thought for your fellow Malaysians. All we can do
right now is be thankful that we have such caring government. "

Summer begins

Exam is now over for about a week and my body is still in exam mode where I still couldn't have a good night sleep. I'll wake up automatically once I have slept for 4 - 5 hours even though I wanted to have more than that. Don't know why but I guess I just have to take it slowly for my body to get back to my normal routine. But then again, this is my normal sleeping hours since I'm working in the morning hahaha. So how did my exam go? Seriously I don't know! There were few papers which are so hard and I don't know how well I did it. 3rd year in university sure such a hard year compare to when I was in year 1 and year 2. So I guess year 4 must be harder then!

I got this email from my dad last Wednesday before I had my last paper which says:

"I guess Hanisah and Amir have completed your respective exams and soon will be Khai's turn.

For Amir, this marks the end of your study life. At least I can stop saying "STUDY HARD", until such time Amir decides to take up a Master course. Amir will soon enter the real working life. Your immediate task of course is to secure a good job in UK and work smart at least for the next two years. It is now time for Amir to spend time enjoying reading your books (Harry Porter) to further polish your English like you have mastered in your table tennis (I always use this example because I used to give you zero when we played at Atok's house but today I cannot even return your service!).

Khai will have another year to complete his bachelor degree. Khai will enjoy his summer vacation soon but must always continue to stimulate the brain so that you will do extremely well in your final year next year. (The pingpong example is equally applicable to you practice makes perfect!)

Hani will take a year break from her studies and will soon experience the real working life. As Hani wrote in her email, she is determined to continue to be in touch with her studies by asking her friends to take extra copy of the lecture notes. I think if you could work and study systematically at the same time then your final year in the next academic year will be a breeze!

Abah and Emak can only be proud of you all. The sacrifices that you go through by having to fund yourselves in food and accommodation will go a long way in the history book. In this respect three of you are extremely special.  You have learnt the lessons of life where not many others have the opportunity to taste."

Alright now I don't know what I should say to them if they ask me how my exam was. It would be the same answer as above where there were some papers which were easy and difficult. I don't know where it went wrong. Seriously I think I work harder this year than other years. I wanted to prove to them that I'm capable do get more than this. But then.ayoyoo It is so frustrated whenever I think about the exam again. So better stop thinking about that for time being until the result come out. Then I can start moaning and worry about it again.

It has been nearly a week since I'm officially started my summer holiday and so far I'm enjoying it so much. My holiday begins with helping my friend with his garden. Yes I'm gardening! Believe it or not you still have to believe it. We started from noon on Saturday of 24/5 till 2300 and the outcome of the garden was tremendous. Seriously now I have started thinking of doing the same thing to my mum's garden back in Malaysia since I already have the experience and know a wee bit about it.

-Nizam's new garden-

-Untie Ahnis's new garden-

On Sunday, I went to Lanark car boot sale after not being there for ages! Especially because Lanark Car boot is only open during the summer time. Since the weather was nice on that day, the car boot was full with people and we (Untie Ahnis and family, Haizal and family and etc) also took this opportunity to go for a picnic by the river around Lanark. It was a lovely nice wee picnic that we had over there and the food was great too! Well for me I think the food was great hhihi..free food laa katekan.

Then on Monday I followed Untie Ahnis to Stirling just to have a day out over there. Owh ya I slept over at her house on Saturday night. I went there to send her to Stirling University since she had an invigilating to and while waiting for Untie Ahnis to finish, I roamed around Stirling and took some pictures. Basically I have been to all the places that I went to but just want to take a day out to try to release my exam stress that I had for past 2 months.

So that is how I spent my bank holiday weekend and also for the beginning of my summer holiday. Now I'm busy with packing out and rearrange back all my book stuff and tidy out my room back since it is really in a big mess.

OWH YA!! Not to forget that MANCHESTER UNITED WON THE CHAMPION LEAGUE against Chelsea!!!!!!!!!! Woooohoooooooo!!!!!!!!!! Plus we won the Premier League too!! Way to go MAN U! GLORY GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.

Alright that's all for now.

Hani, have a good flight back to Malaysia this Saturday. Lucky you to be able to go back T_T. Make sure you bring something for me okay!! hahahaha
